Position Title: Software Developer

Your Job:
The Software Developer implements new mobile software projects for Souktel clients,
and works with other Souktel IT staff on new product development. This position is full-time, based
in Ramallah, and may involve travel to other countries.
Your Responsibilities:
-Implements all IT-related aspects of new partner software projects: drafts requirements,liaises with partner staff, ensures software development/delivery meets partner needs.
-Works together with peer software developers to create program code/documentation for new software applications.
-Creates APIs and carries out mobile network connectivity set-up, together with Souktel network carrier partners.
-Provides ongoing technical support to partner IT staff on component roll-out.
Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science.
-Minimum 3 years’ prior experience coding in PHP, mySQL, and Java.
-Prior experience developing mobile phone software applications.
-Prior experience with face-to-face client service.
-Fluent English: MUST be able to interact with English-speaking partners by phone/email.
-Able to work daily (Sun – Thurs) in Ramallah, and on evenings and weekends if needed.
-Able to work independently, without direct daily supervision.
-Able to travel to Jordan and other regional countries as needed.
Desired Qualifications:
-Knowledge of Django, Python, and/or Asterisk.
-Prior work experience at a local NGO/aid agency.
-Prior experience working with/at regional mobile phone networks.
-Ability to travel to Jerusalem (not mandatory).
