Introduction:
Palestine Technical College, Deir El-Balah, “PTC-DB” has received a grant from the Quality Improvement Fund (QIF)-Ministry of Education & Higher Education and Funded by the World Bank, to implement the project entitled "Fashion Design & Dress Making Dept. Development". Accordingly, PTC-DB seeks the selection and employment of highly qualified Project Coordinator to work in project implementation.
Assignment Objective:
PTC-DB is considering the selection of a highly qualified Project Coordinator to be part of the administrative staff responsible for the overall implementation and coordination of the Project activities under the supervision of the Project director.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
The coordinator will be responsible for the following tasks:
-Ensure the successful implementation of the project through updating project implementation plan and providing adequate following up for the project activities.
-Preparing and following up of all financial and procurement documents necessary for the project.
-Preparing of the progress reports of the project.
-Following up of the project implementation plan, procurement plan and budget.
-Arrangement of meetings and taking of minutes.
-Arrangement of and participating in workshops and visits of project team.
-Keeping track of incoming and outgoing correspondence and communications.
-Management of all office activities especially via pertinent computer software.
-Preparing and evaluating for all issues related to hiring consultants.
-Evaluation and monitoring of project progress at all stages of the project.
-Establish and maintain effective working relationships with all stakeholders and others contracted in the course of work.
-Performing other duties as may be assigned by the project manager.
Qualifications & Skills:
-Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or related fields.
-Minimum 2 years experience in project administration, project cycle, time management,
-Excellent Computer skills (Microsoft Office and Project Management Software).
-Excellent English language and Communication skills.
-Very good technical reporting skills.
Place of work:
The Project coordinator will work in PTC-DB buildings.
Time Frame:
The duration of the assignment is one (24 months), he/she shall work (7 hours) per day (5 days) per week.
Contract Type: Time Based contract
